Emergency aid often starts with a phone call to 112. In the Netherlands, this call is handled by the control rooms of the National Control Room Cooperation, while in Belgium the provincial Emergency Centers take the call. CityGIS offers geographic software and data that are essential for these control rooms and emergency centers.
Our map viewer acts as the central system, allowing dispatchers to quickly determine the location of requests for help and effectively direct emergency responders. This modular geographic platform can easily be expanded with additional applications, tailored to the specific needs of the user.
In addition, our ‘Call Taking and Dispatch system’ provides a complete platform for taking calls, dispatching and monitoring units. From the moment the phone is answered, the system gets to work by requesting the caller’s location, checking similar reports, and sending out units based on the type of incident.
A reliable basemap is crucial for effective operation. CityGIS develops these maps in-house, especially for emergency services, and offers additional map layers of custom data. For more than 25 years, we’ve been working with our users to create software that really works for them.
